Angus Morton - Messenger - Tenor

Angus was one of the first five students to attend The Orpheus Centre, which was founded by Richard Stilgoe.  Its purpose is inclusion, in providing performing arts opportunities for all and not allowing disability to become a barrier which holds back talent.  His time at The Orpheus has long finished, but he remains closely connected. He is an ambassador for the centre and is part of the Orpheus Alumni Performers, which is made up of some of the former students, who perform to raise funds and promote The Orpheus Centre vision.

Angus is a solo singer gifted with a beautiful high baritone voice. He has sung at many interesting venues such as St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Glastonbury and Westminster Cathedral. The highlight of his career so far is when he was asked to sing for the Queen at Windsor Castle on her 80th birthday.

In 2018, Angus starred in the role of Orpheus in a musical comedy called Orpheus The Mythical written by Richard Stillgoe. He was joined by his Orpheus Centre group alumni, Arts Education graduates and celebratory guests. The show ran for 2 weeks at Andrew Lloyd Webbers’ then-newest theatre, The Other Palace, in London.
